I’ve lost all track of time of this swimtervention endeavor. Turns out you can’t just decide you want to learn how to swim, take a bunch of dips and magically flip a switch to acquire good swimming form. This is gonna be a longer journey than anticipated, so I’m gonna stop counting days.

Today the crowd was thin at Dynamo, so Maria graciously gave me some one-on-one attention. She filmed me swimming and confirmed, that I, in fact, have made essentially zero progress fixing my form. My arms cross over at the beginning of my stroke and fling out wide rather than under my hips. My shoulders drop and I essentially swim beneath the water rather than on top of it. Gah! She had me do several drills to try and fix it and recorded me swimming after each one, and I continued to do the exact. same. things. wrong. every. time. At least I’m consistent?!

I may “double dip” today and go to ATC Masters this evening to try and tackle this…
